What is Fondation Dolores Sopeña?
The Dolores Sopeña Fondation was founded on the 24th of September in 1901 when Dolores Sopeña and eight colleagues decided to create this institution. It is an international foundation that is officially recognized as a private non-profit institution with a social christianly inspired objective.
Nowadays, the Dolores Sopeña Fondation is in nine countries: Spain, Italy, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico and Dominican Republic.

The Dolores Sopeña Fondation has worked in Education since 1953 specialized in Vocational Training. The Institute aims to offer three professional qualification levels officially established by the National Institute of Professional Qualifications (Initial, Intermediate and Superior degrees) towards young people and adults.
In addition, specialized Postgraduate and continuous training courses are offered for adults.
Dolores Rodríguez Sopeña was born in Veléz Rubio (Almería, Spain) on the 30th of December in 1848. She died in Madrid, with a fame of holiness, on the 10th of January in 1918. She was a tireless evangelist for the needy people.
Dolores Sopeña broke barriers by building fraternity to make the humankind a united family in the inspiration of Jesus Christ. She organizes a laity committed to boost and evangelize the labor market.
She created an Institution that continues today in Spain, Italy and Spanish America. She distinguished herself due to her great faith, her deep union to God and her apostolic charity to spread the Kingdom of God through the whole world.
Dolores was a kind-hearted person who knew how to answer to her destiny: help everyone to create their conditions to live according to their dignity. Her committed lifestyle makes her a Christian model, recognized by the Church on the day of her Beatification in Rome on the 23rd of March in 2003.
